This simple painting was drawn in 1992, after the very first "world"-journey that took Omananda to Central America, where he was "turned on" by Santa Claus. Omananda painted this very interesting image that even today makes one wonder how much, shared collective visions can communicate through art. the image was painted in San Francisco, so perhaps that is why the money came into the picture (USA). however, the monetary destruction due to the greedy nature of the few in charge of most of the planetary resources leads (in this image) to an energetic, almost ghost-like off-earth escape into either a spiritual dimension, or a metaphysical reality. the word "chip" that comes out of the gun that seems to be a central image in this painting, is a direct metaphor for the control that is enslaving the mind. a woman is in direct contact with the revolver. the world "revolve" in this image means that we live in a habitual unaware world. the number one of the person being on top expresses the main theme or the capitalistic competitive society that divides people and gives no value to the true principles and laws of life. in the huge cloud on the right, an energetic being holds the world in its arms and droplets refer to angelical realms of pure love. the crescent moon is a symbol for the goddess that overlooks the entire process (*of creation). the diagonal woman who looks in apathy directly at the moon is hypnotized with the gun directly firing in her brain, with chips overwhelming her with rational information (ones and zeros) that symbolize the masculine principle, overpowering and in control of the feminine. The clock being ten past twelve signifies a time in the future where we will have come to face the resultes of us being too late to recover from the reverse reactions leading to the destruction of our planet (the black color). the only escape in this image would be to join the spirits leaving
will there be a choice ? we are running out of time ... it is 17 years after this image was painted today when these words are written.
